Sidewalk Construction

The City of Dade City invites proposals for sidewalk construction, including but not limited to, curbs and sidewalks.  Sidewalks will consist of 3000psi, wire-reinforced concrete, 4 inches think by 5 feet in width.  The City is requesting unit price (linear feet) proposal amounts for the following categories:

            1 to 100 linear feet;

            101 to 500 linear feet;

            501 to 1000 linear feet;

All proposals shall be addressed to the attention of Lennie M. Naeyaert, P.E., Director of Public Works, and must be received by 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday, June 30, 2010.  All proposals shall be plainly marked “Sidewalk RFP” on the outside of the envelope.  The City’s mailing address is Post Office Box 1355, Dade City, FL  33526-1355 and the physical address is 38020 Meridian Avenue, Dade City, FL 33525.

The City of Dade City reserves the right to waive any and all irregularities and to refuse all proposals, in the best interest of the City.

Request for Qualifications

Stormwater/ Engineering Consulting Services

 

The City of Dade City is requesting Statements of Qualification from qualified consulting firms in the State of Florida, pursuant to Section 287.055 Florida Statutes, entitled “Consultants Competitive Negotiation Act” (CCNA).  The engineering firm will serve as the City’s consultant for the following:

 

All stormwater consultation, including updating the City’s existing Stormwater Master Plan, design of new stormwater control  systems, and engineering services during construction.

               

Statements of Qualification must be submitted in triplicate with the applicant’s name and address clearly indicated on the envelope.  All statements must be submitted to:

·          Person or firms will be qualified by professional area of consulting service and within each area by specific categories of work.  Upon receipt of qualification statements, the City staff will review the applications and make recommendations to the City Manager.

·          A Maximum of four (4) firms will be selected for personal interview.  A notice of selection will be sent by 27 July 2010.

·          Selected Consultants will be expected to present their approach to the project at the personal interview.

·          The factors to be considered in determining whether or not a consultant shall be selected for personal interview will include, but not be limited to, the following:

                        1)  Qualifications of the Project Team;

                        2)  Stormwater Utility Experience;

                        3)  Design Management / Organization;

                        4)  Construction Management Experience;

·          Any corporation or limited partnership requesting qualification with the City must be duly authorized to conduct business in the State of Florida, and so registered with the State of Florida.
