PERMIT SUBMITTAL REQUIREMENTS

The following is a list of the most common permits issued in Dade City. This is not an exhaustive list; please contact us to confirm what permits your project will require at 352-521-1460. Be advised our review time is anywhere from 4-6 weeks. We do not offer expedite services and are processed in the order they are received. PLEASE NOTE WE PREFER DIGITAL SUBMISSIONS. New Single Family Home

  • Permit application
  • Set of engineered plans
  • Site plan 
  • Energy calculations
  • Right of way application with required site plan (if applicable)
  • NOC
  • Health Department letter (if applicable)
  • General & Sub contractors must be signed & registered with us prior to release. 

Swimming Pool - In Ground

  • Permit Application
  • Site plan
  • APSP Worksheet
  • Septic Approval letter from the Florida Department of Health (if applicable)
  • Tampa Electric Company (TECO) power approval Letter
  • Safety Barrier Affidavit
  •  Sets of Engineered Plans (signed & sealed)
  • Plumbing Diagram
  • Copy of  contract or proposal
  • NOC

Re-roof

  • Permit Application
  • In the description of work list:
    • Type (new, addition, repair, re-roof)
    • Square footage
    • Type of materials being used (shingles, metal, tile, etc.)
    • Florida Product approval numbers
  • Roofing Affidavit (if applicable) 
  • NOC (required if valuation is more than $5,000.00)

Electrical Permit

  • Permit Application
  • In the description of work list:
    • Type (new, alteration, addition, repair, low voltage, etc)
    • Number of fixtures
    • TECO layout # (where applicable)
    • Number of amps
    • NOC (required if valuation is more than $5,000.00)

A/C Mechanical

  • Permit Application
  • In the description of work list:
    • How many units
    • Equal change out?
    • Tonnage per unit
    • HVAC/AHRI
  • If electric is required, electric diagram with details of the electric work being done must be submitted.
  • NOC (required if valuation is more than $15,000.00)

Gas Permit

  • Permit Application
  • In the description of work list:
    • New, alterations, addition or repair
    • Type of gas, natural or liquefied petroleum
    • How many outlets are being installed
    • Type of appliance is being installed (dryer, water heater, grill, etc.)
    • BTU for each appliance delivering pressure
  • NOC (required if valuation is more than $5,000.00) 

Shed

  • Permit Application
  • Site plan
  • Engineered plans
  • NOC (required if valuation is more than $5,000.00)

Carport or Aluminum Structure

  • Permit Application
  • Site plan
  • Engineered plans
  • NOC (required if valuation is more than $5,000.00)

Fence

Demolition 

  • Permit application
  • Teco Letter that power has been disconnected
  • Letter from the Water Department that meter has been pulled

Signs

  • Building Permit Application
  • Sign Permit Application
  • Set of engineer plans
  • NOC (required if valuation is more than $5,000.00)

Fireworks

  • Permit Application
  • Site plan
  • List of fireworks being used
  • Lease agreement with owner of property and Authorized agent or record letter
  • NOC (required if valuation is more than $5,000.00)

  • Applications will not be accepted until January 3 for June 20- July 5 Season & July 6 for December 10- January 2 Season.
