Social Security Offices & Dade City Commission Updates

SOCIAL SECURITY ADMINISTRATION

On Tuesday, March 17, 2020 the Social Security Administration closed ALL local Social Security offices to the public for in-person service. This change impacts the nearly 3.5 million U.S. citizens across the country who rely on their local Social Security office each month to get help applying for and receiving benefits.

DADE CITY COMMISSION UPDATES

In response to federal and state directives regarding social distancing and gathering of assemblies greater than ten (10) people, Dade City has issued three executive orders (Executive Order 2020-01 Executive Order 2020-02 Executive Order 2020-03), and Executive Order 2020-04

Executive Order 2020-01 cancels all previously scheduled City Commission meetings until April 28, 2020. On the March 24th agenda were two public hearing items for the future land use change and zoning amendments for parcels in and around the Dade City Business Center. Those items will now be heard at the April 28th meeting. Notice has been given to surrounding property owners and posted on the site as part of this executive order.

Executive Orders 2020-02, 2020-03, and 2020-04 extends resolution 2020-01, a declaration of a state of emergency signed by the City Commission on March 16, 2020.  That resolution allows the City to take proactive measures to protect the health, safety, and welfare of the City's residents during this time.
